Post what you need
In the app you describe the help, the address and the time, and you set the hourly rate yourself. Posting is free.
Felvo is a platform, not an agency. You post what you need, verified helpers nearby apply, and nothing is charged until the visit has happened and you have confirmed it.

Everything runs through the app, and you stay in charge of every step. You choose the helper, you set the rate and you confirm the visit before anyone gets paid.

In the app you describe the help, the address and the time, and you set the hourly rate yourself. Posting is free.

Verified helpers in the area see your request and apply. You read their profile and reviews, and you choose who comes.

Nothing leaves your account when you book. We reserve the amount on your card and only charge it after the visit, once you have confirmed it.

Clocking in only works within 250 metres of the address, so you can see they really turned up, and for how long.

No intake calls and no waiting on a coordinator. Everything happens in the app, at the moment that suits you.
You read the profile and reviews of everyone who applies, and you decide who comes into the home.
What help, at what times and within what boundaries. Everything clear, in black and white.
No subscription and no minimum. Post a request when you need one, and cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the visit.
Making a profile, verifying yourself, applying to jobs nearby and getting paid: we explain it step by step on the helpers page.
You decide the hourly rate when you post a request, and you see the full amount before you book. We reserve it on your card and only charge it once the visit has taken place. Felvo adds a small service fee on top, shown to you up front.
What you get
Can't find your question? Email us at hello@felvo.uk and we'll answer personally.
No. Felvo is not a care provider and does not offer medical care. Helpers assist with practical and social things: company, shopping, dog walking, light tasks, cooking and going along to appointments. For medical care, nursing or personal care, please contact a home care service or your GP.
No, you do. You post what you need in the app, helpers nearby apply, and you pick the one you want from their profile and reviews. Nobody is assigned to you, and you are never obliged to accept anyone.
It means the helper has proved who they are: an ID scan and a selfie through an accredited verification service, and a UK bank account in their own name before they can be paid. It does not mean we have interviewed them, taken up references or run a DBS check, because we don't do those things. Helpers can upload a DBS or first aid certificate themselves, which we check by hand and show on their profile. You judge the person; we make sure they are a real, traceable one.
The helper clocks in on their phone at the address, and that only works within 250 metres of it. You see the arrival and leaving time in the app, and you confirm the visit yourself before anything is charged.
Nothing is taken from your card when you book. We reserve the amount on it, and we only charge it after the visit has taken place and you have confirmed it. The payment then goes straight to your helper; Felvo keeps only its service fee. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time, and you are never charged if the helper cancels or does not turn up.
Yes. After a visit you can mark someone as a regular helper. New requests then go straight to them, or to all your regular helpers so whoever is free can take it. You can also set a visit to repeat every week.
You can report a problem from the visit itself, and report or block someone from the chat. We look at every report, pause the payment while we do, and remove accounts that do not belong on Felvo. Felvo is an intermediary and not a party to the arrangement, so for anything urgent or unsafe, contact the emergency services first.
We are starting in Sheffield, around Broomhill, Crookes, Fulwood, Ranmoor and Ecclesall. Live elsewhere in the city or in South Yorkshire? Email us, because we open up new areas based on where people are asking.
No. Helpers do not give or manage medication and do not carry out medical or personal care tasks such as washing, dressing or lifting. That boundary is deliberate and it is in our terms.
Posting a request costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We reserve the amount when you book and only charge it after the visit has happened.
