Verified helpers, in your neighbourhood

The help you can't be there to give

What a helper takes off your hands

The things that don't get done

From the shop run to the school run

Someone nearby, for whatever needs doing

You describe the job in your own words and a verified helper from your own neighbourhood picks it up. No agency, no waiting list, no contract.

How it works

Describe the job in your own words: the weekly shop, the school run, the garden, an hour of company. Set the day, the time and the hourly rate yourself. Posting is free and commits you to nothing.

Verified helpers nearby see your request and apply. You read their profile, their experience and their reviews, and you decide who comes. Nobody is ever assigned to you.

Nothing leaves your account when you book: we reserve the amount on your card. The helper clocks in at your door, which only works within 250 metres of the address. Only once you confirm the visit is it charged, and it goes straight to your helper. Cancel up to 24 hours before the start time and you pay nothing at all.

Every helper is identity checked

One less thing on your list

The school run, an hour of homework, dinner on the busiest night of the week. Post it once and see who nearby can take it off your hands.

You don't have to take our word for it

Nothing is taken from your card when you book. We reserve the amount and only charge it after the visit, once you have confirmed it. Cancel up to 24 hours before the start time and you pay nothing at all.

Reserved, not charged

You pay after the visit

Clocking in only works within 250 metres of your address. You see what time they arrived and what time they left, before you confirm anything.

They clock in at your door

Proof, not a promise

Every helper scans an ID document and takes a selfie through an accredited service, and links a bank account in their own name before they can be paid.

A real, identified person

Checked before the first visit

After every visit both sides leave a review. You read them on a helper's profile before you choose anyone, so you are never picking blind.

Reviews you can read first

From other families nearby

You can report or block someone straight from the chat. We look at every report, pause the payment while we do, and remove accounts that do not belong here.

Report or block, any time

One tap, no explaining

No medication, no washing or dressing, no lifting. Practical and social help only, and that line is written into our terms so everyone knows where it sits.

A clear line: no medical tasks

Written into our terms

Questions families ask us

Can't find your question? Email us at hello@felvo.uk and we'll answer personally.

No. Felvo is not a care provider and does not offer medical care. Helpers assist with practical and social things: company, shopping, dog walking, light tasks, cooking and going along to appointments. For medical care, nursing or personal care, please contact a home care service or your GP.

No, you do. You post what you need in the app, helpers nearby apply, and you pick the one you want from their profile and reviews. Nobody is assigned to you, and you are never obliged to accept anyone.

It means the helper has proved who they are: an ID scan and a selfie through an accredited verification service, and a UK bank account in their own name before they can be paid. It does not mean we have interviewed them, taken up references or run a DBS check, because we don't do those things. Helpers can upload a DBS or first aid certificate themselves, which we check by hand and show on their profile. You judge the person; we make sure they are a real, traceable one.

The helper clocks in on their phone at the address, and that only works within 250 metres of it. You see the arrival and leaving time in the app, and you confirm the visit yourself before anything is charged.

Nothing is taken from your card when you book. We reserve the amount on it, and we only charge it after the visit has taken place and you have confirmed it. The payment then goes straight to your helper; Felvo keeps only its service fee. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time, and you are never charged if the helper cancels or does not turn up.

Yes. After a visit you can mark someone as a regular helper. New requests then go straight to them, or to all your regular helpers so whoever is free can take it. You can also set a visit to repeat every week.

You can report a problem from the visit itself, and report or block someone from the chat. We look at every report, pause the payment while we do, and remove accounts that do not belong on Felvo. Felvo is an intermediary and not a party to the arrangement, so for anything urgent or unsafe, contact the emergency services first.

We are starting in Sheffield, around Broomhill, Crookes, Fulwood, Ranmoor and Ecclesall. Live elsewhere in the city or in South Yorkshire? Email us, because we open up new areas based on where people are asking.

No. Helpers do not give or manage medication and do not carry out medical or personal care tasks such as washing, dressing or lifting. That boundary is deliberate and it is in our terms.

Free to post, free to walk away

Post what you need and see who replies.

Posting a request costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We reserve the amount when you book and only charge it after the visit has happened.
